Refund policy
audioshelf.org is free to browse today; this policy applies when paid subscriptions or purchases launch. Eligible refunds are handled through the payment processor used at checkout unless law requires otherwise. Contact legal@audioshelf.org with your order email and audioshelf account email if you need help.

Current service
audioshelf.org is a free finding aid today. You can browse the catalog, compare open recordings, and listen when a provider track is available without paying audioshelf. This refund policy describes how we will handle paid offerings when they launch.
Subscriptions and purchases
When audioshelf introduces paid subscriptions or one-time purchases, checkout will display the price, billing interval, renewal terms, and any trial or promotional conditions before you pay. Charges will be processed by a hosted payment provider (for example Stripe Checkout), not by storing your full card number on audioshelf servers.
Refund eligibility
Unless a specific offer says otherwise at checkout:
- Subscriptions: you may cancel renewal at any time through the account or billing portal linked in your confirmation email. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not automatically refund amounts already paid unless required by law or stated in the offer.
- Trials and promotions: trial and promotional terms will be shown before you enroll. We will send required renewal reminders for annual plans and material price changes as described in our Terms.
- One-time purchases: unless the checkout screen states that a sale is final, contact us within 14 days of purchase if a paid digital item was not delivered or is materially unavailable because of an audioshelf error.
How to request a refund
Email legal@audioshelf.org from the address used at checkout with:
- Your audioshelf account email (if applicable)
- Date and amount of the charge
- Whether you want a refund or help canceling renewal
We will respond within five US business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method through our payment processor when possible.
Chargebacks
Contact us before filing a chargeback so we can resolve billing issues directly. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may delay access while the dispute is investigated.
